AC Milan are set to welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic back into the side this week, the Sweden international looking set to be fit to return to face former club Manchester United on Thursday night, the two sides having played out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last week.
Currently in his second spell with the Rossoneri, the imposing forward is arguably more influential now than the first time round, despite the fact he is set to turn 40 later this year.
After having hit 42 goals in just 61 Serie A games in his first stint at the club, the former Inter man has been just as lethal since his return to European football via LA Galaxy, having netted 24 league goals in just 32 games, that form raising hopes of a title challenge earlier this season.
Although rivals Inter now look set to clinch their first league title since 2010 after stretching their lead to nine points at the summit at the weekend, Ibrahimovic will be hoping to at least take his side back into the Champions League next season, be it through a top-four finish or with victory in the Europa League – a competition he won while with the Red Devils.
The prolific and enigmatic forward – who this week was re-called to the Sweden squad after a five-year absence – has never been far away from something spectacular, particularly in his time at the San Siro.
Ahead of this week’s Europa League clash with his former side, spare a moment to enjoy the plethora of superb goals that Ibra has netted while in a Milan jersey.
