Looking for reliable football predictions for today’s matches? You’re in the right place. Every day, The Football Faithful team analyses fixtures from the Premier League, Champions League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other competitions to bring you free, data-driven football tips.
Our football predictions cover the markets punters use most: match result (1X2), both teams to score (BTTS), over/under goals, correct score, corners and cards. Each tip comes with the reasoning behind it, the key stats and the best available odds, so you can judge the value for yourself.

How We Make Our Football Predictions
Good football predictions start with data, not gut feeling. Each tip on The Football Faithful goes through the same five-step process before it’s published.
- Form and underlying numbers. We look past results to expected goals (xG), shots on target and chances conceded over the last 6–10 matches.
- Home and away splits. Many teams perform very differently at home, so we treat home and away form as separate datasets.
- Team news. Injuries, suspensions, rotation before European nights and managerial changes can shift a match more than any stat.
- Context. Motivation, fixture congestion, weather, derbies and table position all feed into the final call.
- Odds and value. We compare our estimated probability with the bookmaker’s implied probability. We only publish a tip when we believe the price offers value.
Our predictions are written by our specialist tipsters with years of experience covering European football.
Football Predictions by League
Every league has its own rhythm, so we tailor our football tips to each competition. Choose a league below for dedicated predictions, stats and previews.
Premier League predictions
The Premier League is the most bet-on league in the world, and one of the hardest to call. Arsenal won the 2025/26 title, and the season averaged 2.75 goals per game. Tight mid-table matches and a strong home crowd factor make draw and BTTS markets worth a close look.
Champions League predictions
From the league phase to the final, we cover every Champions League night. Expect previews built around squad rotation, travel and the gap in quality between Europe’s elite and the rest.
LaLiga predictions
Barcelona took the 2025/26 LaLiga crown with 94 points, in a season averaging 2.69 goals per match. Outside the top three, LaLiga games are often tactical and low-scoring, which makes under markets a regular feature of our tips.
Serie A predictions
Serie A was the lowest-scoring of Europe’s big five in 2025/26 at 2.43 goals per game, with Inter lifting the title. Defensive organisation is still king in Italy, so our Serie A predictions lean on unders, draws and “win to nil” angles.
Bundesliga predictions
The Bundesliga is the goals league. It averaged 3.24 goals per match in 2025/26, while champions Bayern Munich scored a record 122 league goals. Over 2.5 goals and BTTS are our most common Bundesliga tips.
Ligue 1 predictions
PSG won a fifth straight Ligue 1 title in 2025/26, in a season averaging 2.82 goals per game. Beyond Paris, the league is wide open, so handicap and double chance markets often give better value than the straight win.
EFL and other leagues
We also publish predictions for the Championship, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, League One, League Two, the Scottish Premiership, Eredivisie, Liga Portugal, the Europa League, the Conference League and major international tournaments.
Football Betting Statistics: What the Numbers Say
The best football predictions are built on base rates: how often a market actually lands in a given league. Use the figures below as a starting point, then adjust for the teams in front of you.
Match result (1X2) predictions
Home advantage still matters, but less than many punters assume. In the Bundesliga, 53% of games so far this season have been home wins. In the Eredivisie, away sides are winning 43% of the time, more often than hosts.
- Draws are league-specific. They land in 32% of Premier League games this term, but only 18% in Serie A.
- Double chance (1X or X2) suits leagues with high draw rates, like the Premier League and the Championship.
- Draw no bet protects your stake when you back a favourite in a league where draws are common.
Both teams to score (BTTS) predictions
BTTS is one of the most popular football betting markets, and the numbers vary widely by league. The Eredivisie (70%) and the Championship (68%) lead the way, while the Premier League and Liga Portugal sit at 50%.
- Back BTTS – Yes when both sides score freely but defend poorly (high xG for and against).
- Look at BTTS – No when a strong favourite faces a side that rarely scores away from home.
- BTTS and over 2.5 pays bigger odds and lands often in high-scoring leagues like the Bundesliga.
Over/under goals predictions
Over 1.5 goals has landed in at least 72% of games in every league in the table. Over 2.5 is closer to a coin toss in the Premier League (52%), but lands in 78% of Bundesliga games this season. Over 3.5 goals has hit in 61% of Bundesliga matches, against just 28% in Serie A.
- Over 2.5 goals tips work best when both teams average high xG and concede freely.
- Under 2.5 goals is worth considering in Serie A, in cup ties and in high-stakes derbies.
- Asian goal lines (e.g. over 2.25) cut the risk when the stats point to a borderline 2–3 goal game.
Corners and cards predictions
Corner counts rise when a favourite dominates possession against a low block. Card markets depend heavily on the referee, so check the referee average bookings before backing over cards.
How to spot value: implied probability
Odds tell you how likely the bookmaker thinks an outcome is. Convert decimal odds to implied probability with this formula:
Implied probability = (1 ÷ decimal odds) × 100
Example: odds of 2.00 on over 2.5 goals imply a 50% chance. If the stats suggest the game goes over 60% of the time, that price offers value. If they suggest 45%, skip it, however good the tip sounds.
How to Use Football Predictions to Bet Smarter
No tipster wins every bet. The goal is to make better decisions over hundreds of bets, not to find a sure thing. These habits help you get the most from our football predictions.
- Compare odds. The same tip can be priced at 1.85 with one bookmaker and 2.00 with another. Over a season, that gap decides whether you profit.
- Stick to markets you understand. If you know a league well, specialise in it rather than betting on every fixture.
- Keep singles at the core. Accumulators are fun, but every extra leg multiplies the bookmaker’s margin. Use accas for small stakes only.
- Check team news before kick-off. Line-ups are confirmed about an hour before the game and can change a prediction completely.
- Use a staking plan. Bet a fixed percentage of your bankroll (for example 1–2%) per tip, and never chase losses.
- Track your results. Record every bet, the odds and the market, so you can see where you actually make money.
Football Predictions FAQ
Are your football predictions free?
Yes. Every football prediction on The Football Faithful is free to read, with no sign-up needed. We may earn a commission if you join a bookmaker through our links, but this never affects the tips we publish.
When are today’s football predictions published?
Most predictions go live 48 hours before kick-off and are reviewed on matchday once team news is confirmed.
What does BTTS mean in football betting?
BTTS stands for both teams to score. A BTTS – Yes bet wins if each team scores at least one goal. The final result does not matter, so a 1–1 draw and a 3–2 win both count.
What is the safest football bet?
No bet is completely safe. Lower-risk options include double chance, draw no bet and over 1.5 goals, which landed in 72–90% of games across the major leagues in our table. Lower risk also means lower odds.
Which league is best for over 2.5 goals predictions?
The Bundesliga and the Eredivisie are the strongest leagues for over 2.5 goals, landing in 78% and 76% of games so far in 2026/27. The Bundesliga also averaged 3.24 goals per game across the 2025/26 season.
Can football predictions guarantee a profit?
No. Football predictions improve your decisions, but they cannot remove risk. Only bet what you can afford to lose, and treat betting as entertainment, not income.
