Christian Pulisic has managed to score straight from a corner for AC Milan in this week’s Uefa Champions League.
Known as an ‘Olimpico’, it is one of football’s rare delights and was the clear highlight in the first half of Tuesday night’s meeting between the Rossoneri and Club Brugge at the San Siro.
The American swung the ball in towards the near post but missed his teammates. Unfortunately for the Belgian side it also caught out all of the defenders too.
The trajectory of the ball fooled the goalkeeper, none other than Simon Mignolet, who could only flap at the ball as he fell into the net.
Full-back Maxime De Cuyper tried in vain to clear the danger but the ball had already crossed the line as Pulisic netted one of the most memorable goals of his career.
Did the former Chelsea attacker mean it? Who bloody cares, let’s just enjoy it.
