Chelsea equalled their biggest ever Premier League win after thrashing Aston Villa in 2012, scoring eight times without reply in a resounding victory at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side’s eight-goal winning margin is the second largest in Premier League history, with the Blues having also beaten Wigan 8-0 two seasons previously in a result which secured the league title.
Chelsea‘s win over Villa included a record-breaking seven different scorers, Fernando Torres opening the scoring after just three minutes as hosts raced into a three-goal lead at the break.
The misery for Villa only increased after the break as Rafael Benitez’s side ran riot, in one of the most lop-sided score-lines the Premier League has seen.
Here is Chelsea’s 8-0 win against Aston Villa from December 2012.
