Spurs and Everton linked with £40m Zaha move

Tottenham and Everton are interested in signing Wilfried Zaha this summer, with the forward keen to leave Crystal Palace.

Zaha has been routinely linked with a move away from Selhurst Park in recent seasons and looks set to be subject of transfer interest once again, both Spurs and Everton monitoring the 28-year-old ahead of a potential move.

Everton were strongly interested in a move for the Ivory Coast international in 2019, submitting several offers with their highest bid reported to be around £70m plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.

According to Goal, the Toffees are prepared to renew their interest this summer, but will face competition from Spurs who are eyeing the forward amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Harry Kane.

Zaha has two years remaining on his current contract and there is a belief he could now be available for less than £40m, though Palace will fight to keep their talisman as the club prepare for major changes this summer.

Roy Hodgson has stepped down from his role as manager following the conclusion of the Premier League season, whilst there remains uncertainty over several senior names with a huge 15 players out of contract.

Zaha has made no secret of his desire to play European football and the Eagles face a fight to convince the Ivorian to stay, the club yet to appoint a new manager with the likes of Frank Lampard and Steve Cooper linked with the position.

The Achilles injury to Eberechi Eze also complicates matters with the youngster set for an extended period on the sidelines, a potential departure for Zaha leaving Palace without their two most influential forward talents.

Zaha made 30 appearances in the Premier League for Palace this season, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists.
