Real Madrid set to make fresh £106 million bid for Eden Hazard

Real Madrid are set to launch a fresh £106m bid for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

The Spanish giants want to make Hazard their marquee summer signing after a disappointing campaign, with the Belgian ready to leave Chelsea after seven seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard scored twice as Chelsea beat Arsenal 4-1 in Wednesday’s Europa League final, admitting his desire to leave by saying ‘I think it’s a goodbye, but in football you never know’ post-match.

The 28-year-old is entering the final year of his contract and has refused to sign an extension, with Chelsea resigned to selling their talisman this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.

With Chelsea’s season now over, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is ready to step up his efforts to bring Hazard to the Bernabeu and according to the Telegraph will make a fresh bid in the region of £106m.

Real are keen to conclude the deal quickly as they look to move on to other targets, with the fee likely to be enough to persuade Chelsea to part with their prized asset.
