Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits Manchester United were fortunate to win after seeing his side beat Watford 2-1 on Saturday.
Goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial sealed three points for Solskjaer’s side at Old Trafford, who were dominated for periods by the impressive visitors.
The win moves Manchester United back into the Premier League‘s top four ahead of Arsenal, who face Newcastle United on Monday night, and Solskjaer admits his side gained more than they perhaps deserved.
“Watford started off really well and we struggled to get to grips with their tempo,’’ Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“We defended great, and after about 20 minutes, I felt we were more comfortable. It was more a draw, performance wise. We’ll take the three points.
“Some of the players who went away maybe played too much.”
United’s next fixture is a trip to face Wolves at Molyneux on April 2, as they look to continue their push for Champions League qualification.
