Club Brugge ready to reject big bids for Arsenal-linked forward

Club Brugge are ready to reject all approaches for Nicolo Tresoldi in the January transfer window, despite interest from Arsenal and other leading clubs.

Club Brugge are ready to reject all approaches for Nicolo Tresoldi in the January transfer window, despite interest from Arsenal and other leading clubs.

Tresoldi is on the radar of Europe’s top teams after a prolific start to the 2026/27 campaign. The German forward has scored nine goals in 13 games at club level, including a hat-trick in a 4-3 win at Inter Milan in the Champions League. Tresoldi was the Belgian Pro League’s leading scorer last season and has also netted 16 times in 27 caps for Germany at u-21 level.

The 22-year-old’s form has piqued the interest of Arsenal, who are considering signing a recognised number nine in January. Viktor Gyokeres has struggled for favour this season and has been linked with an exit.

Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea have also checked in on Tresoldi, though Brugge are ready to turn down all approaches.

According to Het Nieuwsblad, the Belgian side do not want to lose the striker mid-season and will resist all approaches until the summer. Barcelona were not willing to meet a €50m (£41m) asking price for the forward late in the summer window.

Tresoldi has scored three hat-tricks in four weeks for club and country, and Sky Germany report that Italy are keen for the Calgiari-born forward to represent them at international level. Tresoldi was born in Italy before moving to Germany at the age of 13. He’s also eligible to represent Argentina. For now, Tresoldi is focused on representing Germany at the u-21 European Championship next summer, before a decision on his senior allegiance.
