Conor Coady has admitted that Wolves ‘didn’t perform’ in their 2-0 loss to Burnley on Saturday.
Coady’s 2nd minute own goal put Burnley in front at Turf Moor, before teenager Dwight McNeil scored a second to seal three points for Sean Dyche’s side.
Wolves remain 7th in the Premier League despite the defeat, and captain Coady admits his side failed to perform at their best.
“We didn’t play well, we didn’t create too much,’’ Coady told the BBC.
“We knew how tough it was going to be. Burnley are resilient and hard to break down. We didn’t perform the way we wanted to.”
Wolves next face Watford in the FA Cup semi-finals, though Coady insists his side were not distracted with such a huge fixture to come next weekend.
“No, not at all. It’s a good game coming up but we’re not thinking about it. We have it all to play for in the Premier League. We want to finish as high as we can.”
