Erling Haaland continues to collect hat-tricks as if it were going out of fashion, making one of football’s great individual achievements seem, well, easy.
Haaland hit his SIXTH treble of the season as Manchester City thrashed Burnley in the FA Cup last weekend, with the Norwegian having now incredibly scored more hat-tricks this season than every other Premier League player combined.
Here is every Premier League player to score a hat-trick in 2022/23.
We’ll start with the freakish phenomenon that is Erling Haaland.
Haaland was hailed as a superstar arrival last summer but the forward’s first season at Manchester City has already exceeded all expectations. The 22-year-old has scored an astonishing 42 goals in all competitions, setting a new career-best campaign for goals by mid-March.
It’s the highest scoring debut season from a foreign footballer in the top-flight and a record total for Manchester City in a campaign, while he is closing in rapidly on the Premier League’s single season record.

His haul has included a staggering SIX hat-tricks, including becoming the first player to score three consecutive home hat-tricks in the Premier League. The third of those saw Haaland become the first City player to score a Manchester Derby hat-trick since Francis Lee in 1970, after netting three times in a 6-3 thrashing of Manchester United at the Etihad.
Haaland also became just the third player to score FIVE goals in a Champions League fixture earlier this month, as his one-man destruction of RB Leipzig sent City into the competition’s quarter-finals. It’s been a season for the record books for the Scandinavian sensation.
Ivan Toney inspired Brentford to a big win over Leeds in September, as the forward hit a hat-trick during the Bees’ 5-2 victory at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Toney opened the scoring from the penalty spot, before doubling the home side’s advantage with a fantastic free-kick that left Illan Meslier with no chance.
The forward – whose hat-trick saw him move past 50 goals for Brentford – added a third in fine fashion, keeping his composure to lift the ball into an unguarded goal from distance after Meslier was left stranded outside his penalty box.
Son Heung-min bounced back from a difficult start to the season to score his first Premier League goals of the campaign with a hat-trick against Leicester.
The South Korean had been dropped from the starting side after six league games without a goal, but came off the bench to provide a reminder of the quality that saw him win the Premier League’s Golden Boot in 2021/22.
Son scored his first with a bending finish from outside the area, before he added another speculative effort to double his haul. He completed his hat-trick late on as he collected Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s pass and rolled home a composed finish.

He became just the seventh player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick as a substitute.
Manchester City waited 52 years for a hat-trick scorer against Manchester United, then two came along at once.
Erling Haaland and Phil Foden became just the second teammates to score hat-tricks in a Premier League fixture, as Pep Guardiola’s side humiliated their cross-town rivals at the Etihad.
It was a punishing performance from the defending champions, who provided Erik ten Hag’s team with a reality check following an upturn in form. City were 4-0 up at the half-time interval as Haaland and Foden netted twice each, before the dovetailing duo completed their hat-tricks after the break.

Foden’s hat-trick was his first for Manchester City, a special moment for the boyhood blue in the derby.
Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge of Brighton proved an enthralling encounter as the Seagulls shared a six-goal thriller with Liverpool at Anfield.
Leandro Trossard was the star of the show for the visitors, as he became just the third opposition player – after Coventry’s Peter Ndlovu and Arsenal’s Andrey Arshavin – to score a Premier League hat-trick at Liverpool.
Trossard’s double saw Brighton race into a two-goal lead, before the Belgian struck a late equaliser to earn the visitors a deserved point after Liverpool had turned the game around.

Trossard left Brighton to sign for Arsenal in January and became the first player since Santi Cazorla in 2012/13 to record a hat-trick of goals and a hat-trick of assists in the same Premier League season, after creating three goals in the Gunners’ win at Fulham.
Mohamed Salah set a new Champions League record as Liverpool thrashed Rangers 7-1 in the competition’s group stage.
Salah came off the bench to score the fastest ever Champions League hat-trick, timed at just six minutes and 12 seconds at Ibrox.
The game had been level at the half-time whistle, but Liverpool ran riot across the closing stages to record an emphatic win. Roberto Firmino’s double and Darwin Nunez had put the Reds in control, before substitute Salah’s quick-fire treble.

Salah toe-poked in his first from a narrow angle, before drifting infield to fire a second inside the near post just moments later. He added a third with an arced finish, with his treble setting a new record for the most Champions League goals scored for an English club.
