The 34-year-old has rolled back the years this season to score 19 league goals for the campaign, firing Atletico four points clear at the top of the division and within sight of a first top-flight crown since 2014.
Suarez’s goalscoring genius should surprise no one at Barcelona however, the Uruguayan international the third-highest goalscorer in the club’s history following a stunning period at the Camp Nou.
Suarez scored 198 goals in 283 appearances for the Catalans after signing from Liverpool, winning four league titles and the Champions League amongst his vast collection of major honours.
