Reliving the best moments of Real Madrid great, Alfredo Di Stefano

Regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, Alfredo Di Stefano left a lasting legacy that helped shape the history of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s status as arguably world football’s most glamorous club is due in large part to the success of their legendary side of the 1950s, a team which conquered the continent with Di Stefano their driving force.

The forward won eight league titles and formed part of the side that won each of the first five editions of the European Cup, scoring 308 goals in just 396 appearances in the famed all-white colours of the Spanish giants.

Di Stefano scored in each of those five European Cup finals, including netting a stunning hat-trick as Real Madrid thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 7-3 in 1960 – with legendary strike partner Ferenc Puskas scoring the other four goals.

An unmissable figure in the history of a Spanish superpower, here are Alfredo Di Stefano’s best moments for Real Madrid.
