Alfredo Morelos has cast doubts over his future at Rangers by talking up the possibility of leaving Ibrox, the Colombian teasing a transfer by suggesting Liverpool are aware of his talents following a prolific spell in Scottish football.
Morelos has starred since joining Rangers from HJK Helsinki, scoring 76 goals in just 128 appearances and firing Steven Gerrard’s side into the Europa League knock-out stages earlier this season.
Despite disciplinary problems which have seen the 23-year-old receive seven red cards since arriving in Scotland, the forward is believed to be attracting interest from across Europe and Morelos has refused to rule out the prospect of moving to one of the continent’s major leagues.
The fiery star even suggested that European champions Liverpool are aware of his talents, believing the presence of Reds’ legend Gerrard as Rangers manager will have drawn watchful glances from Merseyside.
“I think they are aware (of me),” he told Radio Caracol. “I imagine that is the case with the coach we have, who played for Liverpool for so long.
“I imagine he has friends and directors who come to the games, as well as scouts from other teams. It’s a motivation to keep doing well.
“There many interested clubs, let’s wait until the end of the season to see which leagues are asking for me and then I can make a decision.
“If God grants me the opportunity to go to a good club, it will happen.”
