Jadon Sancho is understood to be nearing a return to Borussia Dortmund, with the winger set to re-join the club where he produced his best football.
Sancho established a reputation as one of the best young talents in Europe during his first spell in Dortmund, having decided to take a leap of faith in leaving the Manchester City academy for Germany.
The winger provided 114 goals and assists in 137 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund, while he was twice included in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
His final season with Dortmund saw Sancho finish as the leading scorer in the DFB-Pokal as Dortmund won the competition in 2020/21, with his haul including a brace in the 4-1 final win over RB Leipzig.
Sancho’s dazzling displays persuaded Manchester United to spend £72.9m to sign him, and he will hope to rediscover his best levels should a loan return to Dortmund be finalised, following a tough time at Old Trafford.
