Tottenham have joined the race to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea.
Zouma is free to leave Chelsea this summer after falling down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel, with West Ham having held discussions with the Blues over a deal for the centre-back.
The defender is understood to be keen on remaining in London should he leave Stamford Bridge, though West Ham have so far been reluctant to meet both Zouma’s £25m asking price and the player’s wage demands.
Sky Sports are reporting that Spurs have now emerged as suitors for his signing as the club consider further reinforcements at centre-back, having secured the signing of Cristian Romero from Atalanta earlier in the window.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are considering Zouma as a potential option, alongside Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic – another player who has been linked with West Ham this summer.
Zouma was an unused substitute during Chelsea’s win over Crystal Palace last weekend and will be allowed to leave if the Blues’ valuation is met, with the west Londoners remaining keen on a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
Chelsea could follow Tammy Abraham in leaving Chelsea after the forward completed a £34m move to Roma this week, whilst Michy Batshuayi is understood to be close to a loan move to Besiktas.
