Bayern Munich are among the clubs monitoring Martin Odegaard’s situation at Arsenal as the midfielder approaches the final season of his contract.
Odegaard’s deal at the Emirates will have just 12 months left to run at the end of the current campaign, with Arsenal yet to make progress in talks over an extension.
Informal conversations have been held with the club captain over a new deal, as the North Londoners look to ward off interest in the 27-year-old and avoid a key figure entering the final season of their deal.
CaughtOffside claim Bayern Munich and Juventus are among the sides ready to move for Odegaard. The former have had huge success with Premier League imports in recent seasons, with Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz all starring in the Bundesliga. Bayern are assessing creative midfielders, amid Jamal Musiala’s recent issues.
Odegaard has been with Arsenal since 2021, when he joined on an initial loan from Real Madrid. Last season, the Norwegian captained the Gunners to the Premier League title, ending a 22-year wait to be crowned champions. He’s scored twice in nine Premier League appearances so far this season.
