Son Heung-Min’s sensational Puskas award winning solo goal

Football may be a team game and largely about the collective, but there’s something that remains ever so exhilarating about a player making his mark singlehandedly.

Throughout the years we’ve seen some iconic individual goals in the Premier League, with Son Heung-Min scoring one of the very best in modern times during Tottenham’s win over Burnley in December 2020.

The South Korean has been one of the finest forwards in English football in recent seasons and his classic against the Clarets captured the very best of the star, a scintillating solo run from deep inside his own half.

Picking the ball up just outside the Spurs‘ penalty area, Son embarked on a lung-busting 70-yard run, racing beyond a host of Burnley challenges before firing beyond Nick Pope.

A deserving winner of the 2020 Puskas Award, here is Son’s sensational solo goal against Burnley.
