Rashford discusses potential ‘link-up’ with Jadon Sancho at Manchester United

Marcus Rashford has discussed Jadon Sancho’s possible arrival at Manchester United and believes his England teammate would ‘link-up’ well with the club’s attacking options.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are believed to be the frontrunners to secure the signing of the Borussia Dortmund star, Sancho expected to leave the Bundesliga side this summer and attracting the interest of several of Europe’s leading clubs.

Rashford has played alongside the 20-year-old at international level since Sancho’s England debut in 2018 and has now lavished praise on the winger, describing the youngster as ‘the new generation of player’ and believes he would fit seamlessly into the United side should he head to Old Trafford.

Speaking in an Instagram chat with Bleacher Report, Rashford was asked how Sancho would link up with the Manchester United attack: “I think our link-up play would be good.

“Sancho is a great player, he’s like the new generation of player. He’s exciting to watch him become the player he is developing into. Hopefully we can all play together, that would be good.”

“Sancho plays off the cuff, he’s creative, imaginative, and those are the things that you need to do well in this generation [of football].”
