Marcus Rashford admits he is relishing the prospect of playing with ‘forward-thinking’ Bruno Fernandes following the midfielder’s impressive impact since arriving at Manchester United.
The England international has been sidelined since early January after suffering a double stress fracture in his back, though has seen the team, and Fernandes, flourish in his absence, the mid-season arrival from Sporting Lisbon starring during his first appearances in English football to be named as the Premier League‘s Player of the Month.
Rashford has been impressed by the 25-year-old’s qualities since signing for the Red Devils, and admits he is excited at the prospect of playing alongside the ‘creative’ Portuguese when he returns to full fitness.
“He’s creative, he’s forward-thinking, he always wants to play the ball forward and create opportunities,” the Manchester United striker said in an Instagram live chat with Bleacher Report.
“It’s going to be good to play with him, hopefully we can have some good times. He’s got such a positive attitude, the vibe he brings to the team is just positive.
“Even when he does lose the ball or makes a mistake, he’s always running, working hard to win it back and that definitely rubs off on the other players. He’s had a positive impact so hopefully he carries that on.”
