James Ward-Prowse is rumoured as a potential transfer target for Premier League clubs this summer, with the Southampton star having caught the eye of sides in search of midfield additions.
The Saints turned down interest last summer with the 27-year-old signing a new deal at St Mary’s, but Ralph Hasenhuttl could face another fight to hold onto the services of a talent who has emerged as the Premier League’s best set-piece specialist.
So for those of you interested in the best betting website like UFABET, we look at the bookmakers’ favourites to sign James Ward-Prowse.
Aston Villa – 10/1
Aston Villa made an unsuccessful bid to sign the England midfielder last summer, with the club seeing a £25m offer turned down.
Villa had already secured a £20m deal to sign Danny Ings from St Mary’s and had hoped Ward-Prowse would follow his former teammate to the Midlands, but were met with resistance from the South Coast side.

Steven Gerrard has since replaced Dean Smith as manager, but Villa remain in search of midfield reinforcements. Villa have also been linked with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma and Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara, with the latter out of contract at the end of the season.
Ward-Prowse would represent a Premier League proven addition to an ambitious side, but Villa could face sizeable competition from clubs able to offer the midfielder European football next season.
Newcastle – 8/1
Newcastle are expected to be major players in the summer transfer market, with the Magpies’ billionaire ownership ready to invest and turn the side into a Premier League force.
Eddie Howe has done a fine job in turning around the struggling side, making a number of shrewd additions in January and bringing the best out of underperforming stars at St James’ Park.

Newcastle are now heading towards a top half finish and their upward trajectory will surely appeal to potential transfer targets. The club’s resources mean a deal is plausible for Ward-Prowse, who is believed to be valued in excess of £50m at Southampton.
Much of the focus tends to surround Ward-Prowse’s set-pieces with only David Beckham having ever scored more Premier League free-kicks, though the 27-year-old is a fine all-round midfielder and could form part of an exciting midfield line-up alongside Bruno Guimaraes and a revitalised Joelinton.
Manchester United – 6/1
Manchester United are in search of midfield reinforcements as the Erik ten Hag era begins at Old Trafford.
United are set for major changes in squad personnel with a number of experienced names set to leave on free transfers this summer, including Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Declan Rice, but West Ham’s British transfer record valuation could lead the club to alternative targets.
Leeds’ Kalvin Phillips has also been mentioned as a potential addition, though a deal is complicated given the England international’s allegiances to their fierce rivals.
Ward-Prowse could offer the perfect solution to his England teammates and would represent an upgrade on the club’s current options.
Tottenham – 4/1
Tottenham are the 4/1 favourites to sign Ward-Prowse this summer, as Antonio Conte continues his rebuild of the North London side.
Conte’s additions so far have impressed with the winter window arrivals of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur making an immediate impact and Ward-Prowse is another who could help upgrade the Tottenham ranks.

The Saints’ skipper has scored nine goals and provided five assists in the Premier League this season, whilst he has shone on a number of metrics including averaging 2.1 key passes and winning 2.8 duels per game this season.
Having allowed Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso to leave in the January window, a marquee midfield signing is on the agenda for Conte this summer and Ward-Prowse fits the bill.
