Man Utd players ‘not impressed’ by Rangnick tactics with up to 11 wanting to leave

Ralf Rangnick’s tactics have ‘not impressed’ a number of Manchester United players with up to eleven keen to leave the club.

Rangnick has endured an underwhelming start to his reign as interim manager, with the 1-0 home defeat to Wolves the latest in a run of unconvincing performances since his arrival in November.

The German has failed to galvanise a dressing room that has become increasingly divided and the Mirror are reporting that a large number of senior stars are keen to quit the club, after becoming disillusioned at Old Trafford.

The report has suggested that several members of the squad have been unimpressed with Rangnick’s coaching and tactics, whilst the likes of Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek – each having failed to start a Premier League game this season – have been frustrated with their continued omission despite the change in management.

Rangnick has confirmed that Anthony Martial has asked to leave, while Dean Henderson is also keen to to make a move in search of regular first-team football. Eric Bailly is another who has been left frustrated by a lack of minutes.

The Mail have also reported on a split dressing room and have described the mood within the camp as ‘oppressive’, with Luke Shaw having ominously spoke about a lack of togetherness following the defeat to Wolves.

United are currently seventh in the Premier League and next face Aston Villa in the FA Cup’s third round on Monday evening.
