Manchester City look set to beat Premier League rivals Arsenal to the signature of Millwall teenager Darko Gyabi.
The 14-year-old midfielder, who has represented England at youth level, is a box-to-box midfielder who’s style has drawn comparison to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
The Sun are reporting that City have struck a deal worth around £300,000, with performance based add-ons potentially taking the deal up to £1million.
Pep Guardiola’s side are believed to have beaten off a host of competition for the prospect’s signing, securing the deal ahead of the likes of Arsenal and Wolves.
Gyabi, from South London, is the latest player to join City’s Etihad campus and club official’s are hoping the young player can follow a similar career trajectory to Jadon Sancho, who has excelled since leaving City in becoming a full England international.
