Jurgen Klopp has urged his Liverpool players to ‘believe’ they can win the Premier League title this season.
Liverpool currently sit top of the division with just seven games to play, two points clear of second-placed Manchester City having played a game more.
Hopes have been raised on Merseyside that Liverpool can end their 29-year wait for a top flight league title this season, and ahead of their huge clash with Tottenham on Sunday, Klopp has urged his players to believe becoming champions is possible.
“I would say their skills are similarly important, their attitude is very important, character is very important.” Klopp told his pre-match press conference.
”But believing in something makes it more likely to happen, 100 per cent.
“But the problem is I’m pretty sure Manchester City believes as well, so one will be disappointed at the end of the season. That’s how it is.
“But let’s go for it. Nobody knows what will be [on May 12], but we try everything to make it a big day for us.”
