Pep Guardiola is anticipating a ‘hard’ encounter this weekend, as he prepares to take Manchester City to Burnley.
Wednesday night’s 2-0 win at Old Trafford in the Manchester derby lifted City back to the top of the Premier League, with Guardiola’s side now just three wins away from retaining the title.
City take on Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday, and could find themselves second come kick off with title rivals Liverpool in action on Friday night.
Burnley held City to a 1-1 draw in the same fixture last season, and Guardiola says he is anticipating another difficult encounter against Dyche’s side.
“Always is hard there. They do really well what they do,” Guardiola told his pre-match press conference.
“We have to prepare and we are prepared. It’s the end of the season – the last games – and everyone feels pressure.
“Today we have day off and then we prepare for Burnley’s tough points.”
