The Premier League is back following what feels like a shorter than usual hiatus, so it’s time to roast some terrible football kits ahead of the opening weekend.
The worst Premier League kits we’ll see in 2024/25″
5. Leicester City – Away
A spray paint design in the year of our lord 2025? It belongs on an eight-year-old’s hoody, not a Premier League kit. Furthermore, it just looks unfinished and lifeless. The sponsor being an online crypto casino is the cherry on top of a rancid effort.

4. Ipswich Town – Third kit
I appreciate the effort Umbro went to for this one, I really do. They even recruited Ed Sheeran for this. But it just doesn’t work.
The bright pink top is a Suffolk-inspired effort, depicting the many cottages around the county. There’s also a silhouette of Framlingham Castle in there.
Soundwaves from the cheer of the crowd as the players enter the Portman Road pitch have been incorporated, as well as a representation of the Suffolk coastline running from Felixstowe to Lowestoft.

The end result is a bloated mess. It’s a shame, because the home kit is very, very nice.

3. Manchester City – Home
Puma have committed the cardinal sin of making Manchester City’s home top as boring as a blank wall. The only defining feature is the 0161 area code embedded in the details as if it’s supposed to be some sort of meaningful missive to the city.
The German kit manufacturers have done a good job in the past of incorporating local landmarks into the club’s kits, but this is a desperate attempt.

2. Southampton – Away
Deary me, where to start with this one. Perhaps the blinding yellow colour? Or the “razzle-dazzle design” that would send anyone epileptic? Or, worst of all, the Bitcoin gambling sponsor?

1. Chelsea – Home
I am yet to see a single Chelsea supporter say anything good about their new home shirt for his season, which says it all.
Nike have gone with a “bold new design” in which the “flame burns blue”. But, as one fan put it on Twitter, “the only thing burning from this kit is my f****** eyes”.
