  • Spurs vs Man United – Premier League

Ange Postecoglou is attempting to transfer Tottenham from a counter-attacking outfit to an entertaining possession-based side. If he’s successful, then Spurs will be a great team to watch this year. It will also be interesting to see if Erik ten Hag can bring Manchester United up another level after getting them to third in the Premier League last season.

When is it on? 5.30pm, Saturday, August 19

What channel? Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League

  • Man City vs Newcastle – Premier League

The first real test of Manchester City’s Premier League title defence happens this weekend when they host Newcastle United. This could also be a good litmus test to see how Eddie Howe’s men will fare this season. Was last year the new norm for the Magpies or will they come crashing back down to Earth?

When is it on? 8pm, Saturday, August 19

  • West Ham vs Chelsea – Premier League

David Moyes’ West Ham side are hardly a major TV draw, but Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea already feel like they are going to be a must-watch team at every opportunity this season.

The Blues were impressive against Liverpool on the opening weekend and arguably deserved to win the game. If that is what they look like in their first Premier League game under Pochettino, how good are they going to be as the season progresses?
