The Premier League is back and so is our Tweets of the Week feature after a long hiatus.
And what a week for it to make a return. The Moises Caicedo transfer battle between Chelsea and Liverpool took more turns than a Formula 1 race, while Harry Kane’s will he, won’t he move to Bayern Munich kept us gripped for several days.
The first whistle hadn’t even been blown in the Premier League as all this drama was unfolding. What madness will the rest of the season bring?
The best tweets of the week:
Daniel Levy blocked Kane from getting on the plane to Munich, but Alan Shearer – in desperate bid to protect his Premier League goal record – was on hand to save the day.

Kane hasn’t even had time for German cuisine yet and the culture shock has already kicked in.
Asked about the penalty after the game, he said he didn’t like it, but he had to along with it https://t.co/okaG7cnhrW

Having found rationale in Liverpool’s record-breaking bid for Moises Caicedo, Jamie Carragher soon made a sharp (and sarcastic) u-turn when it was revealed the midfielder much preferred a switch to Chelsea.
110M is a big price for #Caicedo but Liverpool had to pay big as clubs knew they were desperate.
But signing two top young players for 145M & selling two of your older players for 52M is great business!

110M is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a 21yr old, Boehly has lost his mind yet again. https://t.co/FBHmwUGovy

Chelsea look to be the winners in this transfer race, leaving Liverpool in the lurch.
Expect Romeo Lavia’s phone to ring in the coming days…

After Roy Hodgson revealed Vicente Guaita is “disenchanted”, the Crystal Palace goalkeeper joined in on the madness.
Where is my name? So how can I play for Palace? @CPFC
