Chelsea are one of the Premier League’s most successful club’s. Many top class attackers have graced Stamford Bridge over the years, so we thought it would be a good idea to take a look at The Blues all time leading EPL goal scorers…
Gianfranco Zola – 59 goals
The diminutive Italian may have been small in stature, but in terms of skill and technical brilliance, he was simply imperious. Quite simply a genius of a footballer.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink – 69 goals
Jimmy was a beast of a striker who had a bazooka of a right foot. The Holland international didn’t care much for any part of the game, apart from smashing the ball into the back of the net, and to be fair, their were few better than him in his day.
It took a brave defender or goalkeeper to get in the way of one of Jimmy Floyd’s thunderbolts.
Eden Hazard – 70 goals
Chelsea’s current main man, and one of the top attacking talents in World football. Hazard joined Chelsea from French side Lille for £30 million in 2012, and has been an integral part of two Premier League titles triumphs up until now.
The mercurial 27-year-old has always been a top class dribbler, but in recent times he has started to add more goals to his game, and seems to be taking himself to a new level. Chelsea fan’s will be hoping that he adds many more goals to his tally over the coming years …
Didier Drogba – 104 goals
The man, the myth, the legend. The Ivorian hitman signed from Marseille in 2004 was the spearhead of Chelsea’s attack during the most successful period in the club’s history.
In his prime he provided a combination of power, pace and finishing ability that made him almost unplayable.
He won four Premier League’s during his time at Stamford Bridge, and of course scored the winning penalty in the club’s famous 2012 Champions League triumph.
Frank Lampard – 147 goals
Lampard is arguably Chelsea’s greatest ever player. He was a box-to-box midfielder who posted better scoring and assist numbers than almost every striker that ever played in the Premier League.
Lampard joined Chelsea from West Ham for £11 million in 2001, in what will probably go down in history as the best money the club ever spent.
He already had 30 Premier League goals to his name when he moved to Stamford Bridge, but still his record of 177 EPL goals and 102 assists in simply astounding for a midfield player.
