Mikel Arteta has attempted to temper the hype surrounding Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka following the teenager’s impressive form over the festive period.
Saka starred as Arsenal secured their second successive victory with a 1-0 win at Brighton on Tuesday, his performance coming just days after a man-of-the-match display in the Gunners’ 3-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates.
The 19-year-old academy graduate has been one of the few bright sparks from a difficult start to the season for the north London side, with Saka having won four caps for England since being handed his senior debut earlier this year.
Arteta admits he has been pleased with the youngster’s progress this season but has urged patience with the starlet, warning not to expect too much of Saka despite his strong showings so dar this season.
“I would like everybody to be cautious, let him be and let him develop,” Arteta said at his post match press conference.
