German giants Bayern Munich are confident they have won the race to sign Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey when his contract expires this summer.
The Welshman looks set to leave the Emirates on a free transfer next summer after contract talks at The Emirates broke down and the Bundesliga side believe they have struck a deal to take Ramsey to Germany.
Interest in the midfielder had been high, with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and a host of Italian clubs linked with moves for the 27-year-old but The Independent are reporting Ramsey is set to leave London after over a decade of service in favour of a move to Bavaria.
Bayern, champions for the past six seasons, currently lie in 5th place in the Bundesliga having made an indifferent start to the season and have identified Ramsey as a key target.
The midfielder has been with Arsenal since arriving from Cardiff as a teenager in 2008 and has made over 300 appearances for the club, as well as twice scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup Final.
