Xavi believes Manchester United’s attack can “really cause Barcelona a problem” in their Champions League quarter-final tie.
United host the Spanish champions at Old Trafford in the first leg of their last eight tie on Wednesday night, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side heading into the fixture as underdogs to reach the semi-finals.
Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi, who won 25 honours during a glittering 17-year career at the Nou Camp, believes United’s best chance of success is through their attack.
The 39-year-old highlighted the pace and quality of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, whilst also suggested the physically imposing Romelu Lukaku could provide a problem for Barcelona’s defence.
”This is an area that Manchester United can really cause Barcelona a problem in,” Xavi told the Mirror.
”Lukaku is a big physical threat and then they have then players like Martial and Rashford who have a lot of speed, a lot of quality, and both can get goals. ”
