West Ham midfielder Declan Rice

Wilshere backs ‘unbelievable’ Declan Rice to ‘go all the way’

Jack Wilshere has named West Ham teammate Declan Rice as his favourite young player in the Premier League and believes the ‘unbelievable’ midfielder ‘can go all the way’.

Rice has established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the division following his breakthrough at West Ham three years ago, with the 21-year-old having been strongly linked with a big-money move away from the London Stadium this summer.

Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be amongst the clubs currently monitoring the England international as they seek to bolster their midfield options, and Wilshere suggested he is unsurprised to see his young teammate linked with the leading sides in England’s top tier.

Asked to name his name his favourite young player in the Premier League, Wilshere was full of praise for Rice and believes the midfielder can reach the very top of the game.

“You know what, there’s so many good young players,” Wilshere said on Instagram Live

“But the one that I get to see every day and I get to play with him, Dec. Declan Rice.

“He can go all the way, he’s unbelievable. Left foot, right foot and he’s a great lad. Love you, Dec!”
