Speaking after Arsenal’s Europa League defeat to Swedish minnows, former Manchester United hardman Roy Keane laud into the England international describing him as the most “planets most overrated player“.

However, speaking to the media, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger defended Wilshere, saying that while it may not have been his best performance for the Gunners, every body has them now and again:

“It’s very difficult. Personally I rate Jack very highly,” said Wenger

“After that, you can have opinions. Jack was in a team last night who didn’t perform well so it was not easy for him as well.

“Was it one of his best performances last night? Certainly not. Roy Keane knows that can happen to everybody.”

Earlier today, Arsenal were drawn against Italian side AC Milan in the Europa League draw for the round of 16.
