Sergio Aguero departed the Premier League this summer as one of the greats of the division, having broken all forms of records during a glittering career at Manchester City.

Aguero spent a decade at the Etihad and scored a record-breaking 260 goals across all competitions, including 184 in the league – an all-time Premier League record for an overseas player.

The Argentina international collected a whole host of accolades throughout his time in English football, including the prized possession of 12 matchballs after netting a dozen top-flight hat-tricks.

No player has ever scored more Premier League hat-tricks than Aguero, who eclipsed Alan Shearer’s record after netting his 12th treble during a 6-1 thrashing of Aston Villa in January 2020.

The convincing win at Villa Park also saw Aguero move past Thierry Henry as the division’s highest-scoring foreign player, with forward putting on a masterclass in finishing to set yet more records tumbling.
