The numbers behind Jose Mourinho’s managerial career

Jose Mourinho will be seeking a new challenge after the Portuguese coach was sacked at AS Roma this week.

The decision brings an end to Mourinho’s spell in the Italian capital, where the 60-year-old led Roma to Europa Conference League success in 2022 and a first major trophy in 14 years.

Where Mourinho has gone, success has usually followed, with ‘The Special One’ among the most decorated coaches of all time. After shocking Europe to win the UEFA Cup and UEFA Champions League in successive seasons with FC Porto, Mourinho has won major trophies with Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Roma.

Arguably his greatest triumph came at Inter, as he led the Nerazzurri to a continental treble in 2009/10, with the club’s Champions League success that season their first European crown in 45 years.

Mourinho’s career has been captivating with his will-to-win, charismatic persona, and often explosive personality. Here, we look at the career of Jose Mourinho in numbers.
