Trent Alexander-Arnold says Liverpool are ‘excited’ ahead of their Premier League title run-in.
Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit top of the division ahead of this weekend’s clash with Chelsea, two points clear of Manchester City having played a game more.
With just five games remaining, hopes have been raised on Merseyside that Liverpool could end a nearly three-decade wait for a league title.
Academy graduate Alexander-Arnold says his side are looking forward to the challenge, and admits the players are feeling the excitement of the closest title race in recent seasons.
“[We’ve got] Five games left now and just a month left,” he told LFC Later.
“It’s exciting to think that no-one knows how it’s going to end up and it’s all going to be done in a month’s time. It’s exciting and fun.
“Obviously me and the lads will give everything to try and make it as successful and good a day as possible on the 12th.
“[It’s] a massive game on the weekend, it’s one that everyone is looking forward to.”
