Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an update on the fitness of Alexis Sanchez, saying the forward could be fit to feature against West Ham this weekend.
The Chile international has been absent with a knee injury since the start of March, missing the club’s past six fixtures, though is likely to return to the first-team squad for the visit of Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
“He has done lots of injury work and is now injury free,” Solskjaer told manunited.com.
“Now he’ll step up and train with the team. He will probably be in the squad for West Ham on Saturday and let’s see how much, and if he plays.”
United have injury doubts over midfield duo Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic, with both player’s having missed the midweek Champions League defeat to Barcelona.
Ashley Young and Luke Shaw are suspended, so Diogo Dalot and Marcus Rojo could come in in the full-back positions.
