Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he expects Paul Pogba to still be a Manchester United player next season.
Pogba has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent months, with Spanish giants Real Madrid believed to be keen on a deal to take the 26-year-old to La Liga this summer.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly made Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Pogba his top two transfer targets, and is ready to launch big-money moves to take the Premier League duo to Spain.
Despite the interest, United boss Solskjaer says he believes the French World Cup winner will remain at Old Trafford.
“I think he will be here next season,” Solskjaer told the press ahead of his sides crunch clash with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
“Paul has done fantastic for us. We want him to do well. He is a leader in the dressing room.
“If I could guarantee I would say yes. You can’t guarantee but I think he will be.”
