Manchester United to reignite interest in Real Madrid skipper Ramos

Manchester United are interested in a move for Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

The Spain international is reported to be considering his future at the Bernabeu after 14 years at the club, with several Spanish sources reporting the defender could leave the club this summer.

Manager Zinedine Zidane is keen for Ramos to stay as he plots an overhaul of his squad, however, Ramos is considering an exit after a season which saw him upset fans by filming a documentary about his career whilst suspended for the second leg of their Champions League exit to Ajax.

According to the Daily Mail, United will reignite their interest in the four-time Champions League winner having previously approached Real regarding a deal in 2015.

Four years ago Real rejected an offer in the region of ยฃ28m from the Old Trafford club, with Ramos eventually signing a new deal to remain in the Spanish capital.

Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring his situation, however, there is a feeling in Madrid that the rumours may just be a ploy as the 33-year-old seeks a new contract at the club.
