Report: Sancho Manchester United’s number one transfer target

Manchester United have made Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho their number one summer transfer target.

The 19-year-old has made a huge impression in German football since arriving from Manchester City in 2017, with no player in Europe’s top five leagues having provided more than Sancho’s 13 assists so far this season.

Gareth Southgate handed Sancho his senior England debut in October 2018, with the youngster having gone on to earn four caps.

United have been monitoring the teenager’s progress in the Bundesliga, and have been linked with a move that would likely cost in the region of £100m.

The Independent are now reporting that officials at Old Trafford have made Sancho their priority signing this summer, with talks set to begin to bring the winger back to English football.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has recently moved to dismiss speculation Sancho could leave, and the club remain in a strong position to retain their prized asset who has three years remaining on his contract.

United are likely to face competition for Sancho’s signing, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid also reportedly interested.
