Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent insists the forward is ‘very happy’ at Manchester United following recent rumours surrounding his future.
Ronaldo re-signed for the Red Devils from Juventus during the summer in a high-profile deal, but the return of the five-time Ballon d’Or has failed to turn the club into title challengers with United currently sixth and 19 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.
Recent rumours have surfaced suggesting that Ronaldo was keen on an exit just months after his romantic return to the club, with Barcelona mentioned as a shock potential destination given his Real Madrid links.
The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has now dismissed the speculation and says the 36-year-old remains committed to Manchester United.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy at Man United,” Mendes told Sky Sports.
“He’s going to continue with his solid, great performances as always in his career. It’s going to be a great season for him, I’m sure.”
Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season and netted during the Red Devils’ 3-1 win over Burnley at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.
United next face Wolves in the Premier League on Monday evening as they look to close the gap on the top four.
