Real Madrid have reportedly established a €160 million (£137 million) valuation for Vinicius Junior as uncertainty over the Brazil international’s future continues to attract interest from Arsenal.

The Spanish newspaper Sport claims the European giants will only consider selling the 26-year-old if an offer reaches that figure, with club president Florentino Pérez determined not to negotiate below the asking price. The proposed package would reportedly include a guaranteed fee as well as performance-related add-ons.

Despite continued speculation, Arsenal have not opened club-to-club talks with Real Madrid. The Premier League champions remain interested in Vinicius as they assess options to strengthen their attack, but their pursuit is still at an exploratory stage. Sky Sports reported over the weekend that while Arsenal’s interest is genuine, there has been no direct contact between the clubs.

Vinicius has entered the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabéu, prompting renewed speculation over his long-term future. However, Real Madrid are expected to hold further discussions with the winger’s representatives this week in an attempt to reach an agreement over a new deal. Manager José Mourinho is understood to want the Brazil international to remain at the club.

The reported €160 million valuation reflects both Vinicius’ importance to Madrid and the club’s desire to avoid losing one of their biggest stars without substantial compensation. Last season, the winger scored 22 goals across all competitions before adding four more during Brazil’s run at the World Cup.

Arsenal are exploring several high-profile attacking targets this summer, with Vinicius among the names under consideration alongside Bradley Barcola, Julian Alvarez and Bruno Guimaraes. Even so, there is currently no indication that the north London club are preparing a formal offer, particularly given the financial scale of any potential deal.

For now, Madrid’s priority remains securing Vinicius to a new contract rather than sanctioning a sale. Unless those negotiations break down, the Brazil international is expected to remain a central figure in Mourinho’s plans despite growing interest from the Premier League.
