Mino Raiola has confirmed that Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt has ‘agreed personal terms’ with Juventus, although a fee is still yet to be agreed between the two clubs.
The 19-year-old defender emerged as one of the most in-demand talents in world football following a superb season for the Dutch side, having captained Ajax to a domestic double and the Champions League semi-finals.
Despite reported interest from the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Liverpool and Paris Saint-German, Italian champions Juventus appear to have won the race for the teenage centre-back, with the player’s agent Raiola confirming an agreement is in place.
“Matthijs has agreed personal terms with Juve,” Raiola told Dutch paper De Telegraaf.
“We’re waiting for them to complete the agreement with Ajax soon.
“An arbitration case is out of the question for us, I advised Matthijs [on this], because it does not suit his style.
“The player only hopes that Juventus and Ajax will show the will to get out and that the deal is completed quickly.”
