Paris Saint-Germain are willing to match David De Gea’s £350,000-a-week wage demands.
The Manchester United goalkeeper’s contract is set to expire next summer, with the two parties having so far failed to agree on a new deal.
The Spaniard is believed to want to be made the highest paid player at the club, surpassing the £350,000-a-week currently earned by Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Independent are reporting that French champions PSG are willing to capitalise on the stalled negotiations and make De Gea an offer, with the Parisian club seeking a long-term replacement for veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
De Gea is believed to want to stay at Old Trafford, though the 28-year-old is seeking a deal befitting of his status at the club.
PSG’s interest comes after speculation this week emerged that the club had agreed a deal for another of United’s out-of-contract stars, midfielder Ander Herrera.
The Spaniard’s current deal expires this summer, with PSG reported to have agreed a deal with the 29-year-old with United unwilling to match the former Athletic Bilbao player’s wage demands.
