Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is the subject of a World Record bid by big spending PSG according to reports in Spain.
The Brazilian only left Liverpool back in January, finally making a £140 million switch to Barcelona after months of speculation.
He has been touted as a natural replacement for Andres Iniesta, with the Spanish legend finally calling time on his trophy laden career at the Camp Nou.
However, just six months on after arriving in Catalonia, Coutinho is once again a wanted man, with reports suggesting that PSG want to sign the midfielder.
Catalan news outlet Mundo Deportivo claim that PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has made a whopping €270 million offer to Coutinho’s agent, as they want him to team up with last summer’s World record capture of Neymar, also from Barcelona.
However, while they have discussed a move with the players agent, it is claimed that PSG have not made the offer to Barcelona.
With the La Liga Champions still reeling from losing Neymar after PSG triggered his €220m release clause, it is thought that they would be reluctant to do business with them again, and could force them to shell out Coutinho’s release clause which stands at a whopping €400m.
The former Liverpool ace still has five years to run on his deal at Barcelona.
