Paul Pogba says Manchester United have taken belief from their Champions League quarter-final first leg defeat to Barcelona, and says his side can still progress to the last four.
Luke Shaw’s own goal sealed a 1-0 win for the Spanish champions at Old Trafford, with Ernesto Valverde’s side now strong favourites to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2015.
Pogba insists his side remain confident, and says United now know they can ‘hurt’ the five-times winners in the return leg in Spain next week.
“We saw a team we can beat,” he told manunited.com.
“If you don’t believe that, then you just let them go through. We believe we can beat them. We are Manchester United, they are Barcelona but we are Manchester United and we play in the Champions League, like they do, and we can go through, of course.
“Obviously, you are playing against one of the best teams in the world but we gave them some problems. We know that we can hurt them.
