Pochettino insists he wants to stay at Spurs

Mauricio Pochettino has reaffirmed his commitment to Tottenham Hotspur amidst speculation he could leave the club.

The North London side have endured a stuttering start to the new season, with their midweek Champions League humbling at the hands of German giants Bayern Munich the latest disappointment in an indifferent opening few months to the campaign.

Pochettino was installed as the favourite to be the next manager sacked by bookmakers following the chastening 7-2 defeat to the Bundesliga side, whilst reports have also emerged that the Argentine could opt to leave the club amid the current unrest.

The Spurs boss has now moved to reject the reports he could leave after five seasons at the club, insisting he remains fully committed to the cause despite their recent struggles.

“In five and a half years, every single press conference, we are talking about my future.

“I hope because we are still talking, it means that I am going to spend five years more here, at least!”
