Mauricio Pochettino says he has ‘no doubt’ Tottenham will finish in the top four this season.
Pochettino’s side have been in poor form of late, with Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Liverpool meaning Spurs have now lost four of their previous five league fixtures.
The run of form has seen Spurs drop out of title contention, though the club remain in the top four courtesy of goal difference.
Tottenham host London rivals Crystal Palace on Wednesday night in a game which will mark the opening of their new stadium, and Pochettino insists he remains confident his side will be playing Champions League football at their new home next year.
“We have seven games left, five here, and that has to give us a boost,” Pochettino told his pre-match press conference.
“The best stadium in the world must play in the Champions League.
“It will be a shame not to be in the next Champions League. We are going to fight. I have no doubt we will be in the Champions League next season.
“It’s in our hands; it’s an exciting moment for us.”
