Scott Parker says Fulham are looking forward to a ‘massive challenge’ when they face Manchester City this weekend.
Struggling Fulham host Pep Guardiola’s title chasing side on Saturday lunchtime, with the visitors in ominous form having won six consecutive league fixtures.
By contrast, Fulham have lost their last seven games in the Premier League to leave them 11 points from safety, and look almost certain to suffer a swift relegation back to the Championship.
Despite the difficult nature of the task facing his side, caretaker boss Parker admits his players are relishing the challenge.
“I feel like I’m saying the thing every week, but it’s another massive challenge for us,” Parker told his pre-match press conference.
”They’re a fantastic team with a manager who will go down as one of the greatest. But we’re looking forward to it.
“For all the big positives that have come from the last few matches, the points haven’t been there, but it’s been fine margins in all of the games.”
