Memphis says Spurs ‘should expect a lot’ from Tanguy Ndombele

Memphis Depay reckons Tottenham ‘should expect a lot’ from club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele.

Spurs broke their transfer record with the £55m signing of the France international Ndombele this summer, the midfielder arriving in North London after establishing himself as one of the most promising talents in Ligue 1.

Former Manchester United winger Depay played alongside the 22-year-old at Lyon, and has backed his old team mate to be a success in England and believes Ndombele is ‘built to play in the Premier League‘.

“Tanguy is a wonderful character to have in the dressing room and I love him, me and him we have a good understanding of things,” he told the Mirror.

“Tottenham should expect a lot from him because he is still very young and if you see how fast he has moved from the second league club to Lyon, and he stayed with us also for short period, but in that period he was very important for us in big games.”

“He has got speed, technique and strength which was the ingredients needed to survive, so I can say he is built to play in the Premier League.”
